The Department of Physics places strong emphasis on excellence in teaching.  Our faculty members include two winners of the Michael Gale Medal for Distinguished Teaching and eight winners of the School of Science Teaching Award.  Two teams and one faculty member from the Physics Department have also won Awards for Excellence in Teaching Innovation.  Descriptions of these and other awards may be found in the links below.
